Please post who you would like to have speak at our meetings, or a topic of discussion you would like for an upcoming meeting so we don't have round table discussions every month!

Here is a list of people I would like to have speak:

Anthony Calfo
Sanjay
James Fatheree
Mike Paletta
Marc Levinson (melev on RC)
owner of Atlantis Marineland on long island

please add to this

Hands on acrylic fab workshop
Other DIY workshops
I think if a manufacturer rep ever wanted to do a new product demo, that would be cool
Anyone into controllers want to do a presentation?

Maybe Melev could do a "proper sump" talk and a acrylic fab workshop I am a def fan of his tanks and his work, very impressive, almost artistic in design.

Are their any local-within range- coral growers IE ORA or someone that would be able to come in and maybe give a tips and tricks for the ultimate frag tank? Best growth, additives, lighting etc that has been tested and true to produce growth and color.

I'd like to see the Ray & Dave fellows again.. (ok not really)

The more feedback we can get from everyone the easier it will be for someone to plan items that get more interest.

Don't be embarrassed over something like "how do i make salt water" ok maybe you can.

You put saltwater in your reef tank? Damn I knew I was doing something wrong.

I like Melev as a speaker and also Sanjay. I would like to hear what Sanjay has to say about the LED direction of reef lighting.

Sanjay is semi local too (Penn State) so that should be doable for sure.

There are a few coral green houses out in Ohio, one is near Columbus. I think the owner there has done some talks at the CORA meetings.

Scott Fellman is always entertaining as well.

it was a few years ago and i missed the meeting. the meeting on how to make your own fish food. i think this would be a great topic.

Speakers for PMAS meeting

The food topic has come up as a good one. I have several recipes from the last csea meeting

+1 on both the food and the acrylic workshop. Especially if we do it somewhere that the allergies ( pet dander, etc. ) wont cause health issues. Sorry guys- I am very unmotivated to go to meetings if I know I will suffer for 2-3 days afterwards. I am sure I am not the only one. I think we have enough cash in the bank to afford a nicer meeting place. Elmer's has been great - and I trade there- at one or two 10-15 minute increments.

Aquascaping. I'd love to learn (and play with) making live rock arrangements that fill a tank aesthetically as well as usefully. Also, maybe discussing minimal liverock aquascaping, as that seems to be the new 'in' style. Also, also, how to do a 'bonsai tree inspired' aquascape, as I've seen a few of those and quite liked their look. Also, also, also, how to make your own ceramic/cement/etc 'faux' live rock.

Scott Fellman does/did a nice talk about aquascaping. I think it was about 2 years ago. We could probably get him to come back.

I watched the PMAS web site for 6 -8 months prior to attending my first meeting and joining. One previous topic "I touched it now what do I do" dealing with the hidden dangers and treatment of marine injuries caught my attention. I don't know how the discussion went but that would be interesting to me.

I think that was either Anthony Calfo ot Steve Pro, I missed that meeting but would like to hear that talk too.

I'd like to learn more about water chemistry and coral identification / classification.

Snacks at the meeting would be nice too! :)
