Spearing mantis ok in 10g?

i want to start a tank for a mantis shrimp.... would a spearer be alright in a 10 gallon?? if so..which?? ...if not...what size do i need??

I don't know of any that can go in a 10.
I'm thinking you'll need a 20 or 25 for a spearer.

There are alot of them that are fine in a 10.
The easiest to get, and one of the popular ones is Neogondactylus Wennerae.
Which you can find on tampabaysaltwater.com for 50$ delivered to your door.

I have a P. cilata spearer in a 12 gallon nanocube, and one in a 5 gallon Eclipse hex. The one in the 12 is definately more active. I will be moving the other guy into a bigger tank before too long.

G. Smithii isn't the easiest Mantis to find.
They're not totally rare or anything, but I don't know of any sites that sell them, so you'd have to check with your local pet stores.
