Well, I'd like to start an octo tank...I really don't know much about them, would like to learn some before dedicating a tank to them. I'd like to see them, so I hear they mostly hide during the day, so that's sucks, do they come out if you have actinics on? I'd like to get one that doesn't cost too much and that is something I can learn more about them with. I'm hoping to maybe go collecting some macro algae from the gulf, maybe I'll run into something I can work with :D

hi Jared

keeping an octopus can be one of the most rewarding things that a person interested in aquaria can ever do... But it means a lot of reading and preparing for it on your part.

Everything you need to know can be found by looking up backposts on here and at TONMO.com...

The most commonly kept species in the USA is Octopus bimaculoides which, you will be pleased to know, is diurnal so you wont have to worry about seeing it through the day :)

Cheers
C
