Night shot? Yes... Bta's close up regularly... They also move around a lot... Make
Sure your power heads are covered or you will have bta soup

It is a night shot, so if it closes up, it is not an indication of stress/health? I am running a mp40 so I'm guessing that it's covered?

mp40 are not covered. either make a DIY cover out of gutter guards or buy the mp40 cover made by Vortech.

Pay careful attention to that shrimp. I had two anemone s that were killed because of shrimp pestering them til they spit up the food I'd given them. It didn't matter how much I fed the shrimp or whether I fended off the shrimp til the anenome fully swallowed it's meal, the shrimp would always come back to pester the anenome until it vomited it's food.

In the end I decided to buy a wolf eel to eat the shrimp.

Did you have clownfish in your tank kraken? I'm hoping that clownfish that I should get in a month will do the job of protecting the nem.

The clownfish probably won't protect the anemone from the shrimp. Normally cleaner shrimp cause a lot of problems in anemone tanks. They irritate the anemone. They will steal food directly from the anemone's tentacles. Even if you keep the shrimp away from the anemone while it is eating, I have had shrimp actually go into the anemone's mouth and steal the food out of its stomach.
If you want to keep your anemone happy, get rid of the shrimp.

I'll try to feed them at the same time for now, see how that goes, can't get rid of the shrimp, it's like a puppy to me :b

i was just complaining about my cleaner shrimp taking the food out of my goni... my Haddoni took of that problem a few minutes ago..along with my linkia and lyretail anthias

So I've fed the anemone three times since I've gotten it and the shrimp has kept to itself and hasn't come near the anemone. I do feed the shrimp first on the other side of the tank.

Yes I had two tomato clown fish at the time who didn't seem to care if the shrimp pestered it to death. Perhaps maroon clown fish would of done a better job as I've seen them be more protective. But ultimately the shrimp ended up killing one anemone and was working on the second. But the wolf eel put a quick stop to that.
