Specs for the Orca needlewheel yet?

Not yet, however if you can tell me what you were thinking about doing with it (chamber size wise) I could let you know relatively how well it would perform.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy!

Not exactly sure what diameter tube I'm going to use, probably either 12" or 18". (If I can find it cheap) and about a 4' reaction chamber. I'd rather not have to force feed the venturi unless I have to but at that depth, I might have to. Thoughts...

Thanks
Tim

I think you could get close to 48" with a 12" reaction chamber. Ifyou went about 36" - 40" with the 12", then necked up another 10" - 12", I think it would work just perfect. With the 18" diameter I would say 24" max height on the actual 18" part, thena nother 6" - 8" on the neck. That might be a little generous on the 18" diameter sizing too.

i am building a skimmer using this nw pump, it will sit on a 6" tall base that is 2'x2'. then will have a 16"x16"x36" reaction chamber going to a 6"dia neck that will be about 8" tall. how well will the pump work on this setup, should i cut the reaction chamber down some or super charge the pump, also this is going on a1000g system. and info yet on watt draw and scfh the pump can pull

Thanks

I think you would be fine with the size chamber you have now. I will be posting pics this afternoon hopefully of a new prototype Sequence skimmer that they come out with that this pump runs on. This chamber is 12" diameter and pretty short, around 20" or so, then necks up, and the pump seems to be a little on the large size for that even with the difuser in it. Unfortunately I do not have a watt draw available.
