you having problems Joey? I 3 email notifications saying you posted .......

So you can really tell when people have posted. That would be great if you can tell me how you do it. There are people in other forums that I enjoy reading there post. (but I would kind of feel like a stalker) :)

they were replies to this thread .You get email notifications from threads to respond to .

If you like reading anothers posts then go to their profile and hit the link for all posts by this user upper right corner.

Thats strange I never get emails in threads that I have posted in. I will have to look into that.

Thanks for the info for reading other posts

Yeah, every time I tried to post it halfway loaded the page, then went either to a timeout screen or the RC overload page.

I was trying to post that I can't make the pickup tomorrow and I work on the 12th so I can't make the meeting. So if there is a pickup saturday evening to LMK.

Just to update people we are still looking at today for a pickup day. I am hoping to be home by 4:30 with the order but by 5:00 for sure so anytime after that would be fine but I'd like to try and wrap it up by 8:00 if possible so I can have a little Friday night left :D.

Thanks to those who are picking orders up for others- I realize the pickup time may not be the best for everyone but to try and make several different pickup times and days to work around everyonelse's schedule is something I'm trying to avoid so my life doesn't have to revolve around this order for the next week.

Any orders not picked up today will of course be brought to the meeting on the 12th.

Thanks everyone!!

I picked up my RO/Di this afternoon and let me tell you this thing is AWESOME !!!
I would like to ask a favor of you who have purchased the full SP-2000-90 or 180-MC RO/DI units and those who have purchased the MaxCap DI add on systems. Keep a log of your water usage and TDS readings if at all possible so we can provide feedback to Spectrapure on their performance. I think this is the least we can do for their generosity on this group buy don't you? This is a brand new product and very unique in the RO/DI field and feedback is important in its development. As most of you know I have been testing an add on MaxCap system for Spectrapure for the last month or so and so far I have made 105 gallons with an average incoming RO only TDS of about 10 and a MaxCap reading of 0 TDS with a combined dual DI reading of 18 megaOhms which is about as pure as water can possibly get.
I intend to move the MaxCap cartridge I have been using to the new system so I can test it fully until it is depleted. If this were a normal mixed bed DI like I have been using I would be 1/2 exhausted at this point as I normally get between 200 and 250 gallons maximum from a DI cartridge. I fully expect to get much more from this Max Cap cartridge and hope to hear all of your results too so we can report them back to Spectrapure. You need to keep track of the TDS readings as well as the gallons produced to make the data meaningful. I keep a small logbook next to my RO/DI and each time I make a batch I record the gallons produced, all the various TDS readings and the date.

I hope you are all as impressed with your purchases as I am with mine!

See all of you on the 26th for our talk on RO/DI!

Yes agreed an awesome setup at a smoking price.........

AJ ? for ya .....I was at homedepot to get a y adapter and I saw a watts zero waste addition for 100 bucks . Do the zero waste units actually work . Just trying to find a way to save more water.

Also what type of rejection should we expect? 1 good to 10 bad ect?

The zero waste kits are only good for about 25 GPD. The way they work is to use a booster pump on the waste side and inject it back in to your hot water heater. In my mind this is not a good idea here in the Valley with our high TDS as it just concentrates it in the heater so you end up with it in your shower and clothes washer. Charles did tell me they are working on some alternatives that will reduce the waste stream and this is probably a good question to bring up on the 26th.
As for waste ratio you should be seeing somewhere between 4:1 and 6:1. I am conservative and don't have much faith in flush to waste valves so I run my units closer to the 6:1 side but 4:1 will keep the membrane well flushed. There are directions on how to test your waste ratio and trim the flow restrictor to the correct size if your ratio is not right. It will vary with pressures and temperatures so all of us need to do this initially when we set the units up to fine tune them for our individual water conditions.
