SpeedWave DC-3000 Cover

I just got my SpeedWave DC-3000 and the "directions" leave more than a little to be desired.

While I have an exploded view of the pump, it doesn't show or say how to remove the front cover that holds the impeller.

Anyone have one of these (or DiabloDC, Waveline DC3000) and can tell me how to get this thing apart without breaking it??

Hold the volute in your left hand, the motor with your right hand, turn counter clockwise 1/4 turn and the volute can be pulled from the motor. At least on the Waveline that is how you do it.

Anyone hear yet when the better volute will be available.
Saw somewhere beananimal was discussing the remolding the cover thing.
