not a bubble snail. this is:

it looks like a leg off some kind of bug. i have had a camel cricket jump im my sump before. thats how i found out. i seen his leg floating around. you never know . can you tell if its hard, or soft?

Its hard to tell from those photos, but I think the shape makes me think it is more likely the waste or egg sac of some animal in the tank.

If your RBTA is missing it absolutely could be one of its tenticles. My Green BTA released a tenticle once (or something snipped it off) and it floated around and inflated a little.
