My spider sponge has not done a thing. It looks the same as it did in the bag. It has been over a week. Shouldnt it be doing something by now?

mine is the same as well doris, I have noticed it looks a bit fuzzy at the top but nothing like the pictures i have seen of it with white polyps. I am gonna just give it time.

Doris, mines not doing much either....
just as you said, it looks the same as it did in the bag, good color.. every now and then i'll see a polyp or two come out, usually after the main lights go out and just the actinic are on....
maybe they just need some more time....

Ok, I tried what you said and guess what, it worked.. I looked this moring and they are starting to pop out, not like the pictures but it is a start. Right now they just pop out and are real small. I hope they will keep getting bigger and more like the pictures. I just can't keep the sponge where I put it. I try to set it in a low light spot and with low flow and the next time I look at the tank it is on the botton out in the full light. I don't want to glue it, I don't' know if that will hurt it or not.
