Spiders as food?

Wife called and said there was a big spider in the garage. I told her to kill it. She calls back and said she missed. I get home, it is a huge wolf spider. I knock it around to tame it a bit and figured I'd get rid of it.....

Threw it into the undy tank!

It was on the top of the water for about 2 seconds. Undy comes up, snatches it and starts that trigger tapping chomping sound. Spider was gone in an instant. Undy starts swimming around looking for more, found a floating leg and ate it......wow!

p.s. I don't like spiders.

I've fed my undy a couple of earthworms. She absolutely destroys them. I used to feed worms, bugs, etc. to my cichlids back in the day so I thought the undy might enjoy one :D .

poor spider - you're so cruel...... :(

my roommate accidentally gave his oscar a jolly rancher once... poor jolly rancher ... :(

Depends which flavor!

I figured screw it, give the trigger some fresh meat, and save a gallon of water from flushing it down. I wasn't going to leave it alone and let it wander off....especially after searching this pic before I left to go and seek and destroy!

It was more than 30 hours ago. If something changes I'll let you know, but it was snatching up pellets just this afternoon like nothing else. Maybe the poison will bring out the glow in its yellow lines? Or better yet, give it special powers!!! j/k.....I thought about that as well, but it's done with now. By tomorrow morning I would think that it will be out of its digestive plumbing.

I used to feed my freshwater fish daddy longlegs, which supposedly have VERY venemous venom, they never seemed to care.
