Spiral swimming worm

I remember reading about worms that swim in a spiraling motion some time ago, but I can't remember where or what I read.

Tonight we saw one (it is white) in one of our tanks and I'm curious again.

Does anyone know what kind of worm I'm talking about, or where there's more info on it?

I think with the movement of the water and the worm it would be impossible to get a picture, sorry I can't provide one.

It is most likely a swarmer, the reproductive form used by a great many worm species for broadcast spawning. I have a few examples of such swarmers within my worm hitch hiker page.
