spitting crocea

For the last two days one of my crocea clams keeps spitting up cloudy white stuff. It does it about every 5-10 minutes and now the whole tank is cloudy with what looks like tiny air bubbles. I just added some Seachem reef advantage calcium yesterday, but only half of what was recommended. There's a total of 3 clams in the tank but only one seems to be throwing up. Has anyone else heard of this before?

in our aquariums a spawning event is brought on by a survival instinct. you need to skim hard, do water changes and run lots of carbon or the already fouled water will cause the clam to continue spawning and possibly start the other clams.

then you need to determine if it was the calcium additive that started it or an other possible parameter problem.

I think it did that because of a big temperature change. I put a bunch of ice in to cool it down but it was probably too much at once. All seems to be well now
