Do any of you guys use any sort of splash guard/cover for your EB8s? I'd like to find something similar to a commercial plastic thermostat cover that hinges at the top? Anyone use anything like that?
I found it easier to put an acrylic splash shield on the end of the sump rather than on the EB8. Serves the same purpose and much easier to fabricate. Doesn't solve the humidity problem though but so far so good. Keeping them outside the stand is obviously best if you can do it.
My EB8 is mounted on the wall behind the stand and is not overly likely to get hit with water, but I would like to put a shield over for even the rare case. I may wind up just making something custom out of acrylic as well, but more likely a box over it with a hole at the bottom for all the cords and wiring. I would prefer a premade solution though -Your post is in violation of the terms and conditions of use of this web site and has been edited.

+1 I did the same thing, cut a gallon plastic container to fit over the top edge of my sump. works perfect, keeps all salt creep off that end of the stand
