Splendid Dottyback

This guy is pretty aggressive, and I may need to separate him from my display tank. But my question is about his behavior the last week or so. He keeps circling the tank, strolling along the bottom, then racing to the top, strolls along the top, then races for the bottom again. Is this indicative of anything, or just boredom?

what kind of aggression issues are you having with him? i was considering a splendid dottyback in my 300g.

Most of the problems, I created by adding him to a tank with conspecific fish. I'm certain he killed my royal gramma and blue eyed dottyback. I also suspect he killed my cleaner shrimp and a pair of banded shrimp. In searching, I found several others who had problems with splendids and shrimp.
