I have a female Cirrhilabrus cf Lanceolatus inbound. I have been bitten by the wrasse bug DD can cure. LADD already raised the price of Rhomboid male from 379 to 399. I did buy one at 379 but it was well beyond my comfort limit and won't spend that again lol.

They can and have been found for less, yes.

The described lunatus is of Japanese waters, and looks a bit different than this lunatus variant. Personally I think the Philippine variant you see here is just that (like the Cebu variant of Pylei), but until DNA testing proves they are in fact the same, the cf. tag is appropriate.

You always pay a touch more for DD fish, and IMO it's worth it. You're paying extra for the quality and prior QT/conditioning.

Ah ok. I knew about the Philippines variant, but thought they recognized it still as the same species. Good to know.

And I do agree on DD being worth more. Although they are still usually not that much more than other online retailers, and often less expensive than LFS's in my experience.

Are you referring to the Lunate wrasse? I got my trio from you know who. I'm sure he can get them, if DD has them. Seeing how they both use QM.

The cf is indeed the Philippines variant which is smaller in size. It's a dwarf pintail fairy wrasses (cirrhilabrus cf lanceolatus).
