split or dying?

Well it is hot like hell in vancouver last couple days and my BTA was hiding under a rock and not eating anything like it use to be. today after i got home, I found a side of the nem start sort of "melting" or split. I just want to confirm if this is spliting as I have a nano system, if indeed it is dying I might want to remove to my QT tank.

Here are some more info, its tips on the side thatz not melting/spliting seems fine still bulb shape. its foot is holding onto the rock very hard, doesn't seem to let go or lose. no colour losing or anything. no waste coming out from mouth. The reason I can't tell if he is spliting is cuz its on the bottom of one of the base rock, so I can only see portion of it.

is the anenome bleached? it looks pretty white,i have never had a split but usually they split down the middle.

nope it is not bleeched...the white is just cuz my 14k ushio light ...everything looks whitish under it..maybe its still new (less than 70hrs

Check the mouth, that's where the split starts.

i have a better view now, it start from the mouth all the way towards the bottom half of it, seperate into 2, the upper part of the mouth is still normal, but where is split looks like all melted,I can see all the muscle and stuff.

Sounds like it is for you and it can take a few hours to finish.
