hkgar Active member Mar 21, 2013 #1 I have been reading abit about filter socks and find it to be a reasonable idea I have a Aquaclear 100 running on my tank. Wouldn't the sponge filter in the Aquaclear do just as much as a filter sock? And, be easier to clean?

W wonderz New member Mar 21, 2013 #2 filter sock usually have a smaller pores than sponge filters so they can catch smaller detritus.
