I have a large hammer colony that is losing heads because of a bright yellow sponge over growing it. my question is ther a fish that eats that type of sponge . I know large angels do but I was hoping maybe like a flameback or cherub. tank is mixed . thanks Ray

Sulfur sponge, maybe verogia aurea. I have some encrusting bright yellow sponge in my tanks. It moves up euphyllia stalks , covers rock and overwhelms some corals if left alone . I have had some success simply scraping it off back away from the heads connecting tissue from time to time. Some form of sea slug likely eats it but I don't know which one or how you would get one .
