Sponges growing on Maxima?

100% Wrong. Boring sponges can and will kill your clam if you dont catch them early. Other sponges can be fine but why take a chance if you can't identify Boring vs. Non Boring?

any more info on this,i just noticed yesterday that i have a sponge growing on my maxima.

I can't seem to find a good article on boring sponges vs. clams right now but I know I have read it/seen it multiple times. Maybe cruise through clams direct and you can find more articles that are more clam related. I work with some clam farms and boring sponges can have a big effect on Juvi clams. Less of an effect on larger clams but who wants to risk it :)
