Spontaneous growth: rock anemone?

Saw this thing about 2 months ago, spontaneously came out of the substrate. At that time it was tiny, less than the size of a dime, and I thought it was a star of some sort. Now it's about the size of a quarter, and to me it looks like a rock anemone. What do you all think? The second pic includes an adjacent palythoa colony, for size reference.

Spontaneous isn't the word I would use. Probably too small to see from the get go, but it happens. There are many things buried in our live rock. It's what makes this hobby so cool. And I agree with rock nem. Good find.

Cool. Thanks. Tank is 3 years old, I wasn't expecting any more surprises. I have 2 other rock 'nems, but different color.

It does look like a rock nem. Wish I had cool finds on my LR like that!

My finds: hydroids, FWs, bubble algae, and some other things that most don't get excited about.
