Sporulation with pic's

You got any carbon running on that tank, and a skimmer? Also is that Thalassia growing in there? What other seagrasses?

Normally,I don't run carbon or filter pads.But I did put on a 50micron filter pad tonight.
It's already starting to clear up.
It has 3 seaclone's,but they don't do much when this happens(which isn't very often).
I was going to pull that section yesterday,but the wife said "Oh it looks so good back there".So against My better judgment I pulled a different section.Oh well! I thought you all would get a kick out these pic's.
Just Thalassia and some caulerpa's,Mojac said He may have some stargrass for me in the near future.:rollface:

The Thalassia looks like it doing really well. Is it spreading or are those all individuals you've planted. Does your Rabbitfish bother the seagrass at all?
I did a search of some of your previous posts, and I'm wondering if the wasting disease continues to come back? Also have yout ried pruning the plants to see if it enhances growth at all, or does the rabbitfish do that for you?
Sorry for all the questions, just dont see your tank around very often, and recently I've asked some of the same questions that you have.

The Thalassia was transplanted, from an other tank that I just took down,in two hand full lengths.Over a period of a year,at ~4 month intervels.The last was a month ago.I was waiting for the bed to mature before I transplanted the last of it.
Each section had 4-6 plants on it,with the sand it's been growing in since 2002.
It has shot up 4-5 new plants in the last two weeks.I didn't see them til I pulled up some caulerpa.
The rabbit was a good fish for about 9mo,....but,he jumped out last week.He would pick at the dead turtle grass leaves,and would leave the rest alone.
Sarah,was right with the wasting disease and water quality,I bought better/new test kits and the Ca was way off.I don't have much of a problem with it now.
I have not tried to prune them yet,maybe in a few months,after this last bunch gets settled in.~20 plants

The columbellids are awesome arent they, they reproduce, and they're small enough to get on the seagrasses and clean them.
What are dove shell, and what do the abalone do?

I'm sorry,dove shell snails,at least thats what they where sold as.I think they are a conch of some type.They move/jump around like the queen's do.Eats the same,only they will bury themselves in the sand.
Columbellids are so prolific that they almost become a pest. Over this last year I've taken into the LFS ~100 of them,and it's about time to take in some more.
The abalone is a cool snail,he's about 3.5" right now but can get alot bigger.It's amazing how nimble he is for his size.And talk about a strong foot,you HAVE TO sneak up on him or you can't even slide him on the glass,let alone pick him off.He doesn't wonder into the sand bed very often,kinda sticks to the rocks and glass.(pardon the pun ) He has two,long "feelers" with little ones all around,even coming out it's back though little holes.I got him because he's so interesting watch.Although he only comes out at dawn and dusk.

Possibly dove shells are also called Florida fighting conch, or is it something else?

I have abalone too! I actually culture them for the aquarium trade but yours could have come from Mexico too. How long have you had it? 3.5 inches is pretty good for an aquarium abalone. Do you feed your abalone anything or just let it graze on the algae that grows on the glass? If you have a green abalone they really like red algae, especially Gracilaria. If you really need to ever move him and you have a smooth edged knife from your silverware set you can try sliding that under him really quickly and lift up at the same time. Spatulas can also work sometimes.

They don't get fed other than what they find on the glass.Is there is something I need to feed them?

I don't normally have to move him,but every now and then,he'll climb over the fuge/sump wall and wind up with not much to eat,IMO.So I have to move him back.
