spotted clown

my clown has a small dark spot on him, not very big and not black just a dark brown. i dont have pictures but im hoping someone has seen this and knows what it might be.

Hi Mike,

Does your fish have more then one spot?

I think you should look up Melanism in Clownfish. It is where their skin gets hyperpigmeted from stings from corals. If that is the case, then you have nothing to worry about as a lot of clowns develope it; pretty much harmless...

That would be my first thought without a pic...
