Anyone have any experience with these two fish in a medium sized tank (180 gallons) ?

Any feedback would be great.

Thanks

I don't, but I have read that foxface and rabbitfish will fight. Sorry I don't have any more information. I have a blue spotted rabbitfish, and like it a lot.

Until I moved them to their new home on 17 March I kept a Magnificent foxface, Yellow foxface, and a common "Squiggle" rabbit, in my 180. In their new home they are joined by a Fiji, Spotted, and another type of rabbit. All six stay together and there is very little aggression between them. They range in size from 1.5 inches (Spotted) to 6+ inches for the Squiggle Rabbit and M Foxface. They all do fine and the magnificent tends to protect the others from the more aggressive tangs. I don't think the Magnificent does it on purpose but he will not allow a tang to act aggressive around him so the other fish would run to him and hide behind him in the smaller tank. In the 325 I have very little aggression as the tank is square and the fish can be out of site of each other . I would not hesitate to put three or more togeterh in a 180 but I wouldnt ry two of them. I find that more is better when dealing with agressive fish.

Thanks guys. My orange spotted is going to be delayed until it gets shipped out tomorrow.

Thanks for all of your help

tell us how everything goes.

I will. If you have not seen my build thread, I also like to take pictures :)

i've had mine a little over a year. never bothered anything, and than one day thought he liked zoas. I feed like crazy. he munches on them every once in a while, and than decided he REALLY liked star polyps, and ate half a rock of them... what kind of fish eats star polyps?!?!?!

I had a spotted rabbit, scribbled rabbit, and mag foxface all in the same tank (125g). The foxface was the biggest and did light nipping to keep the other two in line, but they all hung out together and even lived in the same cave. No real problems to speak of.

LOL marko. great fish cl2y that is one big orange spot. He looks very fat. Marko i will be sure to take a look at your thread.

I guess it was not meant to be as they fish did not make it in the shippers holding tank :(

My M Foxface must have heard about this post as he was kicking my Fiji Fox around the tank when I got home yesterday. Guess the big one is going to take a little vacation in the sump.

well mine has tasted gorgonia... than leathers.. than was good for a long time.. than he wiped out about 20 beautiful hot pink zoas.. than was good for a while, than ate a bunch of pink star polyps, and just recently *yesterday* ate a bunch of tips off of my pulsing sinularia

brat. When we move i'm making his tank into sps only and moving the softies in another tank
