spray paint for overflow box?

Has anyone actually spray painted their overflow box and worked out great for them? What brand would be safe to use?

In case painting doesn't work out for you, I just used a black acrylic cover on my glass overflow. Another option....

i used a paint called Krylon Fusion, worked great for my nano tank overflow box, painted it blue to match the background.

I heared it will flake off, How long have you had it?

i've had it in my nano tank for almost a yr, never had a problem, made the overflow out of a 6" pvc pipe, the paint adheres itself to the plastic.

mine flaked off within a month. im planning on an spray painting acrylic with fusion and sticking it inside

If you are painting it on virgin plastic it will bond fine but if you spray it on an old overflow or in my case a power head it will eventually flake off . I have spayed it on numerous frag-racks and it works well. infact it also dentures algae grow too. Mostly hair algae.
