For those of use that are RO/DI DUMB. Yes i said it dumb. LOL
This is what i would like to do, but do not know how togo about it. No experience in the matter and interested in seeing someone else's similar setup.
Being that i have multiple tanks. I would like to mount and plumb say a Typoon III RO/DI unit to my basement wall for a make up water system.
Having never done this, what is the cheapest way togo about this? Would like to fill a plastic 55 gal drum or large tote with RO/DI water for salt mixing, to later be pumped into main display tanks. I have extra heaters and Powerheads for storage.
Whats used to shut off the RO/DI water when container is full?
Float switch or something i imagine. I just want something that i do not have to observe or check on a daily basis due to traveling.
Something that will be ready for mixing. So i can go straight to my water changes and be done with it. Of coarse its not exactly close to my display tanks.. Would need a 50 foot garden hose and transfer pump to make the distance. Which is not a problem.
Would really like to see some setups.. Unfortunately I am a hands on visual learner.
How do you set it up for water changes of 40 to 75 gals in one day?
Thanks
Kris
