Koji and tony vargas payed us a visit. Koji was brought to new house after hole was dug for tank. That hole is over 20 ft by 20 ft and 2 foot deep. Vargas has article coming out on current system. Which by the way may have only 6 months of life to live before moving to new house. And then the picture of the large water tower which will hold several thousand gallons for water changes for the 14k gallon tank. Jonathan from country critters in that picture as well as in front of my tank with lovely girlfriend Michelle and our favorite phoebe bearded collie puppy. That's my real love!!!

We'll. We had a few visitors lately. Koji from Japan who took inside pictures of tank and then we brought him to the new house where the monster tank has started.today they actually pured concrete and steel in that hole. Tank is going 2 foot below grade and then 7 feet tall. So total of 9 ft high.

Then we had tony vargas and come over for visit and he took bunch of pics and there will be article coming out on system and the peps.

And lastly not seen we had Joe yaurillo and girlfriend come for a meeting to help design rockwork of this 14k gallon tank.

Btw reef builders out of Asia just did a very nice story on me and the system but reef central blocked the link. I guess you can google it. Title was something like 1600 gallon system or something. We'll that's the story. The house is going and part of tank expected mid jan. After that they need to pour foundation for extention on house.

14K? Wow! This, I cannot wait to see. Your current system is amazing, I can't wait to see what you can do with a tank this size

Dashy. I assure you I learned more from rc than they learned from me. My grandfather may he rip started me out with 20 gallons and African cichlids when I was 11. I never in my life expected this hobby to consume me like it has. Being a hedgefund manager, I use it to get away from the markets. I will share so others can copy and learn. I now have to try to copy Joe yuarillos 20k gallon reef at Atlantis marine world in riverhead long island. And I love that he's helping me along. And I'll help others along. And so on. Its a chain that is so great in this hobby how everyone helps each other. Anyways. Thx. I'm going to need some help coming. 2 tanks. 2800gallons sps and 14k coming. I worry about the time. The set up. And all the right equipment. Just have to get the right people to help.

Did I say I was worried about the dollars also? Lol. This is a big massive most expensive project I'm encountering. The 2 tanks Ans equipment is the price of 4 to 6 ferrari. Big numbs. This is while I'm building a house.

I too use the hobby as "therapy" from the stressors of life, the challenges and problem solving take my mind away, by design

I think a lot of us use our slice of the ocean to get away from the stressors of life - it is a form or therapy. The beauty of this hobby imo, is that the possibilities are limitless; it is completely up to the hobbyist! The best part of limitless permutations are that when everything goes perfectly, you get to upgrade your tank...it's the natural evolution of the hobby. Appreciate your insight and knowledge, I am still a noob but spending time on RC you can see that all our members put back in what they take out.

That is a very nice looking tank. I can't believe now much coral you have in there. The new basement tank will definitely be a sight. I'm excited to see it come together over the next several months. I like your idea of having lots of angels, etc. They should get nice and fat. I wager you'll spend more time watching that tank than the reef.

AMAZING!!! Can't wait to see the new Tanks... Glad to see a build from NY that blows the others away... Are you still planning on putting a White Tip Shark in the 14k tank once its up and running?
