sps 1250 gallon system

Fill in the blanks Andrew. You had mentioned a problem with the tank due to the storm, is this your same tank? I would assume it is, but I know you had also mentioned about moving to a new home and a very large new tank build. Have you changed anything in your sump room area? And looks like you need to do a little thinning out in the tank and send some of that coral to Ohio! :D

Well i bought more coral from sandy damage but maybe only 10 peoces. Rest of stuff is doing great. Working now with steel guys and architech on new house. Tanks just got bid on. Will select any day. Probably a year from now i will have a new build thread. 2of them.

I really like the behind the scenes video of your equipment room. Its hard to imagine what is involved to keep a tank like yours running. Andrew do you have any designs of the new tank and system you can show us?...a year is a long wait ---Rick

The plans were just being bid on. As soon as i hire the sypplier i will post. We just closed on the house in april. And first thing we did was outside pool tennis and decks. Now interiors are being demolished i wont move in for at least a year. Reef tank will be. 12 ft long x 6 ft front to back x 4ft high. 2500 gall

The basement fowlr ( ya right prob turn into some sort of reef) is a monster

16 ft x 15ft x 7 ft high. Crazy steel concrete slab involved.

What a project! I know at one time you mentioned a couple fellows that were involved with your current tank. I'm in the redo mode on my system. Its about 1000gal total volume. The display is 8'x3'x42" top of water to top of sand. I'm going with 100w LED multichips for lighting. Anyhow I'll be watching for your updates.---Rick

I'm redoing a water change set up. I'm following a system posted by Dvanacker (Darryl) he had a TOTM in December 2012 (I think). I'm going to run my system through 4 58gal barrels, two with rock in them. They will all drain from the bottom. My sump room is in my basement, and the DT is on the first floor. So everything flows down through the barrels then into the sump and back upstairs. The way I have it set up, its all gravity, no pumps. I shut off the first two barrels, drain them, refill with ro/di water add salt, turn on the mixer, and add them back to the system, all with just turning a couple valves. The way its set up, most of the detritus settles to the bottom of the barrels. I have all my rock in basement tubs, so called "cooking" I'm going to control everything through Arduino. lighting, heating, cooling, feeding, fans, ect. ect. I'm adding new frag tank, tied to the system, and a quarantine tank system by its self. That is the main idea to make things work a little easier.

Can I be in your will? Please?
