I received a JBJ 24g nanocube for free so I decided to transfer everything from the 12g. I will let the photos do the talking....

Currently the AI is running at W:25% RB: 35% B:35%, I am still trying to acclimate my corals to the new light...I will post updates soon.

Off to a good start, coral looks healthy and digging the minimalism rock work. A skimmer is a big help and with a 24gal you do not need anything crazy.

Live rock, some Chemiclean, carbon and filter floss

Thank you. Suggestions on which skimmer?

I have a JBJ 28g Nanocube. I'm going to get the Tunze 9002 Protein Skimmer

I have heard from quite a few people that it works great. The problem is that the skimmer cup is round so it won't fit and the magnet on it would have to be cut off for it to fit. The solution is to buy the skimmer with the magnets removed so it will fit. This place here sell the skimmer with the magnets removed, plus they sell a skimmer cup that will fit on the skimmer. This place also sell other cool parts for the Nano you have. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the link! That is the skimmer that I am leaning towards right now.

It depends, I had my return nozzle pointing fairly level with the water, thus creating lots of surface agitation and I was evaporating about a 1.5quarts of water a day! With less surface agitation I am evaporating half that amount.

alright thanks i guess i will be moving my return nozzle pointing it more down now i have mine pointed up to the surface making surface agitation and i guess that causes the problem thanks again

I have seen your posts regarding this skimmer. I would like that one but it would require me to move my tank away from the wall which does not sound like fun.

Oh yeah, that doesn't sound fun... The Tunze always get's really good reviews also, I don't think you will regret that decision. Making it fit may be another story though, I know it's really tight on the 28g, so you may be outta luck on the 24.

Figured I should update this thread a bit....

Added some fish...

Looking nice! Surprised you went with the CPR instead of the HOB-1 though. I don't work for them, btw, just a good skimmer :)
