SPS and Algae?

I was having a problem with STN tip recession and now that I have that problem under control, some of the tips that were dying and other places I have fragged got some brown algae on them.

Is there anything I can do to remove the algae or will the coral just grow over it and kill it?

cut off the dead tips and superglue the tips

I did that on some of them and algae grew on the super glue... Does that mater?

if its a healthy coral it will encrust over and regrow. I would just make sure its not hair algae. If it is clip it off.
