I have a bubble tip in mine and everyday I worry about it splitting or moving; let alone the worry of it expanding and touching one of my acros. I am leaning to taking mine out. The problem is that I like my mated black clowns.

I set up a separate clown tank. I would never let a wandering glob of death and destruction loose in my main tank. I've heard too many sad stories.

Eventually, you will have to make a choice.....in which do you value SPS or Anenome more?

We often try to have it "all" but in the end most coral do not have the same needs and one or the other suffer.

Like Mark said, I had a Sebae that with the clown took up half of my tank real estate. I worried everyday that it would move or split or drift.

If you plan on being a casual SPS keeper, and don't mind the occasional sting or loss of piece......then no big deal. But if your into the LE SPS that can be VERY finicky and expensive, I would not recommend it.

I bought a nano cube and put my anenome in there......less to move around and roam.......I like it better this way because it showcases the anenome and the clown doesn't freak out as much.

Just in case you haven't heard it enough yet, I would like to echo the above experiences. If you try to house an anemone with LPS, you will probably not be happy with the compromises you have to make.

I have a LTA in my tank and fully expanded, it takes up about a third of the tank (from side to side) and more than half (from bottom to top). I have to leave a wide margin of nothing of value that it could sting. That is a lot of wasted real estate. I am very fortunate in that it has not let go & rolled around in the current for many years, although it could. It does move a little, but I have it hemmed in with pillars of rock & that limits the movement. If it really wanted to, it could take off & wreak havoc. As a responsble owner, I don't feel like getting rid of it, but if I could do it over again, I wouldn't. My clown fish would be quite content to host in a euphyllia - and they don't move around.

I have one in my SPS tank for about a year now. One thing is that I bought the rock it was attatched to from Aquarium Concepts. It's a big rock, but it has never moved. My maroon sometimes rips off a tenticle so I have to fish it out or else it will sting a coral...HTH.
