SPS and doing dips to rid hikers

Does anyone have experience using SeaChem Reef Dip on SPS corals?

If not, what have u used to dip to rid of pest(nudi's), etc... ?

I experienced a bleaching after using the SeaChem on my Monti Cap. I suspected that i had a Nudi problem after seeing white spots show up hear-and-there on the plates. And now the coral looks far worst than the bugs ever made it.

Ideas, so if i have to buy another Monti and find myself in a similar situation what do people do to rid the corals of pest?

thanks for the reply...i was reading some info on the product and they mention Acro...any idea how well it works on Montipora(ie..cap.)? Do u think it gets rid of Nudi's as well? Sounds like it should!

it will at least severely stun the nudis. Kills most of them. I use 150% normal dose for 15 minutes and then blast with a power head. you will want to look for eggs and those you will need to scrub off.... I sent you a pm

I was using Seachem Reef Dip but after reading much here on RC I switched to TMPCC. Seachem product is not supposed to be effective with AEFW while TMPCC seems to have had some success. I personally have never encountered either, I hope, and have had no adverse side effects on either. I too use about 150% of the rec. dosage for 15 min.

Does anyone know if there is a difference between Lugols Iodine and TMPCC? I already have Lugols and dont want to spend the extra money if they are both essentially the same thing..
