SPS and I don't get along

Get a Hanna alk checked and check twice a day. Make sure your alk is rock solid and you should be fine. Almost all issues with keeping sps revolve around alk swings. I expect to keep my alk stable to the tenth and if I get more than two to three tenths swing in 24hrs then I know something is off. Much more than that and things will start to suffer, once you start seeing a full point swing you'll start to lose stuff.

I'm not sure. I got rid of my Hanna checker because it always read 0

Well
Take your water sample to a LFS and get the basic testing done. Usually it's free
If you don't find something abnormal next thing would be to sent a triton water testing

Thanks, I was thinking of sending in a sample. My local fish stores don't seem to want to test customers water.

What is your lighting schedule and intensity? How high are your lights from the water? Do you tinker with the lighting? With low n and p you could be cooking your corals with high intensity. Just an fyi I have found if corals are getting light in color it's to much light. If they are darker they could use more light. The fact that you say the corals get light and die makes me wonder about your lighting. Another thing is where are you putting your corals in the water column when introduced?

I thought the same thing about the light being too strong so I tried leaving them on the bottom and even half way. When that didn't work I thought maybe it wasn't enough light so with different corals I would turn the light up higher.
When the corals are first introduced I put them at the bottom and then in a couple of days start moving them up. Overall I dont
