I have an SPS/LPS tank and a separate nanocube for zoanthids only. My zoanthids are growing tremendously and I would like to add some to my SPS tank. Anyone out there have success with zoos and SPS-I hear that the toxins from zoanthids and palythoas can ruin my SPS tank. Thanks.

I don't think you really have to worry to much about chemical warfare..you more have to worry about the zoas overgrowing and shading the bases of you sps....although sometimes they can find a happy medium...

That's crazy talk! The big problem with keeping SPS with zoanthids is that the zoa's grow so fast. They can kill SPS by growing right on top of them.

funny. Check this out. I have an almost identical pic. smaller cap but same scenario same zoa's even

Yep I have one of those situations too.

Other then this rock in which the cap is growing out from an accidental frag, I ensure to keep all my SPS and zoos seperated on different rocks so I can control the zoo from encroching on the SPS
