SPS-compatible beginner corals

Hi all,

Future SPS reef here. I'm nearing the end of the fishless cycle and looking forward to starting the tank with some easy corals until it matures. The tank will ultimately be SPS dominated.

Any recommendation on SPS compatible corals that I can start with and keep when I add the SPS?

Thanks in advance!

As soon as the cycle is over, if you're well informed enough, you can start with some easier SPS right away (digitata, cap, birdnest). They won't grow much in the first 2-3 months until the tank matures, but they'll survive if you know what you're doing.

That said, if you really prefer waiting, you can add some non-invasive zoanthids, sympodium, a couple riccordeas or some LPS like frogspawn or elegance(which require stable parameters like SPS).
