SPS coral touching

what is everyone's take on corals growing into each other? I have a purple stylophora and a miyagi tort that are growing into each other and the stylophora won the battle but I'm thinking I should just clip one back a little bit.

Sometimes I clip them back and sometimes I leave them. I would certainly clip if I had a common sps like a monti infringing on an expensive slow growing acro, but I say its personal preference. One of my favorite pieces I have is a huge acro that is surrounded and grows out of the middle of a purple monti cap.

Mine seem to sense each other. They grow around one another.

If they tolerate each other I leave them. If one reacts poorly I trim them.
