sps corals and no light

Don't know if the OP is still workin' this issue or not, but there is a simple solution if this ever comes up again. Just hang a $5 grow bulb over a bucket with an air pump and change the water every other day. Keep the room at 74 degrees and you're good to go for a couple weeks. Not saying the corals would be happy, but I've kept corals in a tub with simple grow bulbs on numerous occasions.

This is the best advice.

i am starting a 30g long reef. Its going to be in the living room. i am going to put them in the tank tomorrow.

if you have no good comments please to leave.

Perhaps there is a language barrier, but I must say that is a very inappropriate remark to make for a 15 year old on a forum that is full of great information and opportunity. I have 3 children ages 13, 14, and 16. The one characteristic I have tried to instill in my children is humility. You might consider the benefits of showing a little humility in your behaviour.

well i finally got my lights and i am setting my tank up right know. And first of all i was asking for some ideas on what to do. I knew that when i got the corals i can leave them alive until i get my lights and just to prove half of you wrong i just did. And second of all the guy before was basically yelling at me for getting 2 free corals that might die but when someones reef collapes they have a whole bunch of corals that die and you guys fell sad for them.

And I offered you help and free equipment, and you made an angry post to other people. I understand it is frustrating to have people "yell" when you are simply trying to start a new reef, but humility gains much better response than anger. In English there is a saying: "You can attract a lot more bees with honey than vinegar."

The internet is full of negativity and so is the world. At 15 I hope you are impressionable still and so I wish to make you see that staying positive even when others are negative is a much better way to overcome life's challenges.

By the way have you seen my tank . . . :D I know bad example of humility

Yes. I have a skimmer, heater, and a GFO reactor that would fit a 30 gallon tank. Do you need any of those items?
