I'm thinking 30x30x30 100+ gallons with closed loop (dual loc line, one at top left and one at right bottom...) Return will act as surface distribution... like a seaswirl.
I'd like to go rimless, but don't exactly want to pay the extra, especially if I decide to go hooded. I could see myself changing it time and time again. :mad2: :mixed:
Bare bottom may be the way to go as previously stated, but that woould mean a larger stand. I may have to jump in the workshop to build a good looking stand. Ever notice the tools you are given never get opened, but the tools you buy are the first ones to get dirty?
I need to look into the best way to do a remote DSB, as the dynamics of input and overflow into the main sump are seemingly confusing. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

you should not be blowing sand around with that setup, i had it it was nice but its A LOT more work to keep it looking good, lots of cleaning

Its 30x30x28. Starphire. not sure how thick it is. But it is the heaviest tank i have ever lifted in my life.

true, so with the extra cash from the lights and such, i can piece together the issue slowly. i think the biggest issue when you first start is the lack of submersion. What I mean by that is you never really know what you truly want, seeing as how every tank looks amazing to you. lack of knowledge of what you plan to keep, how to keep it, and the best means of husbandry/equipment; add in a little compulsion, and Voila! Huge waste of money and something you are trying to get rid of! I love this hobby so far...

I'm going to hopefully get my 135 cubish off the floor soon! I'm also going to do dual vortechs like davey. Close loop is the cleanist looking but vortechs are cool. Custom stand and sump is next for me but let me know if you have any questions God knows I have tons of opinions, otherwise good luck it sounds like an exciting build
