SPS dominated 60gal

Hey everyone,

I've been keeping reefs for a while now and I've finally decided to bite the metaphorical bullet and have set up a fairly decent tank for a change. The tank it's self is 60gal made by fluval.

The basic fluval tank came with a couple of T8's, plastic lids and some nice tropical fish food..... Needless to say this ALL went straight into the "cupboard of DOOOOM" (that one in your house with all the junk in it) and I went to work on a new lighting system, I chose 2 x 250watt MH with 2 x 54watt blue t5. For water flow I went for 3 x koralia 5,200lph and 1 tunze 6025.

The tank is drilled for an external filter that I'm going to remove at some point and swap it with a sump.

Skimmer is a bubble magus nac 5( I got it for cheap ...)

The tank was upgraded and has been running for around 2 months now.

The efflo had a tiny bit of cyno on it when I got it

The tank pictures are around 3 months apart. This tank was an upgrade from my last one and this is to be upgraded soon......

How's that regal behaving with your sps and meaty lps? I'm thinking of getting one for my 120, but am still on the fence since I have some prized lps. :/

It's been very well behaved, had a nip at one zoa but hasn't touched anything since.

A risk worth it in my opinion. :hmm3:

Beautiful aquarium! What are the dimensions of the DT? It appears much larger than a 60 in the photos to me.

The tank its self is 48 x 14 x 22. It's a fluval roma 240 aquarium and stand, it's drilled in the base for a small external filter where I run some matrix carbon in a filter bag for a few days every month.
