Redbugs are copepods. The flatworms you see on the glass are usually not a big deal. Its the AEFWs that people fear, at least people with acros. I think these parasites are pretty exclusive to acropora, so if you don't have acros, you don't have these. From what I've read, redbugs are more of an irritant than anything, and may not necessarily kill a coral, but they are a nuissance. That's why I plan on ditching this acro at some point. For now, we'll keep it as a science experiment.
If its just that one, then try and just do a dip atleast, maybe you can get rid of the bugs if they are isolated to that one frag. Consider it a "project" lol. There are some pretty good results using bayer insecticidal spray i think if you search the boards a bit. I was going to try it but i dont have red bugs right now.
