SPS food question

I was making a meaty home made concoction for my RBTA anemone that included salmon, silversides, and mysis shrimp. The after effect of chopping the mixture in my food processor was there was a little of what I would call waste that was like fish paste. When it hits the water, it essentially is dissipated into TINY TINY particles that are smaller than Reef Plankton...perhaps the size of RotiFeast.

I spend a significant amount of money on OysterFeast and occasionally RotiFeast to make sure my SPS corals are getting good nutrition. I actually feed PhytoFeast and OysterFeast daily as part of my overall food plan for my reef.

My question is will my SPS corals eat the tiny emulsified fish or are they picky about what sources of nutrition they will accept?

I doubt fish mash is on the menu in nature, unless excreted by a fish eater, but since fish are part of the ocean's circle of life I would think their mash would be consumed by any number of hungry polyps :spin1:

It's an interesting dilemma really. The mixture is a 100% protein paste that I would not think twice about feeding to my LPS. In fact, my duncans colony ate a ton of the stuff tonight. The RBTA anemone couldn't have been happier with it.

So the real question ends up being will my SPS be happy with a home made mixture of protein that is chopped to the point of being emulsified?

OysterFeast is a mix of oyster eggs and oyster ovarian tissue in a small enough format that it can be eaten by acroporas and montiporas. I have to think that ovarian tissue is similar enough to emulsified fish flesh that the ground fish flesh would be beneficial, but some things in this obsession/hobby are counter-intuitive.

I think I'm going to try it for a week and see if there are any negative consequences.
