SPS frag lighting question

Just got some SPS frags from a fellow reefer and want to know about light acclimation. I currently run my halides from 12-8 and my blues from 10 to 10. The SPS were put into place today and have been under the blues for 2 hours. My plan was to run the halides for 2 hours today and tomorrow and slowly increase that until I am back to 12-8. Will this be fine and what type of adjustment needs to be made on the blue lights?

Thanks

depends on what kind of lighting the frag came from

for sps frags you usually assume they were under t5 or MH already so I just start them on the sand for a few days and move them up

Already have them in their final resting spots...They were under hqi 150's for 9 hours a day...I have hqi 250's, so I will just run them for 2 hours today and tomorrow and slowly increase...will that work fine...also, can I run my blue's for the full 12 hours a day.

QT?

QT?

I was reading about some redbugs and flatworms in a few other threads. Do you plan to dip them?

If they were under HQI lighting for 9 hours, why stress them with being under lighting for only 2-3 hours.
what is the depth of your tank vs the depth of the other tank

I might decrease an hour or two, but I think only 2 hours on isnt giving them what they are used to. from a 150 to a 250 isnt that much differance

I kept the halides on for 4 hours today and all seems well. One frag looks a little bleached. I will at moving it tomorrow. Tomorrow, I will keep them on for 6 hours. Some more frags are arriving tomorrow morning and I will just put them at the bottom of the tank. Problem is tank is 30 inches deep and it is very difficult to reach the bottom. Thanks for the help.

I'm with latazyo. Base it on what they came from. Stress is stress. Might be fine regardless but if you know the person they came from, simply try to keep it within a decent range.
