Well I tried some cheap lighting on the 220 Plusrite bulbs. they looked great both the 20000K and the 14000K however the corals did not like. Lost a bunch of acro colonies in this experiment. Hard lesson learned. Anyways I need some acro and sps frags would prefer good sized frags with good color.

Will do cash or trade. So if you have something let me know what you have and what you want for it. I still have a lot of stuff and the 90 was untouched so I do not want duplicates. Could bring stuff to the meet saturday.

If I make it this Sat. I can bring you some SPS frags. Anything perticular you are looking for? As of right now things are looking pretty good for me to make it out, Family not comeing down from NJ this weekend.

That would be great. Anything with nice color have enough tan stuff

What i have.

ORA corals pearlberry, red planet, bellina, boreallis, bird of paradise, green birdsnest, joe the coral, purple stylo

also have blue polyp stylo, green slimer, cali tort, pink birdsnest, sunset monti, superman monti, halo monti, tyree undata, purple nurple, green digi, echinata, hydnophora and several others I do not know what to call.

I like variety and good color the purple/blue tort and the strawberry shortcake would be fantastic additions

Any frags of cool zoos would be good also. I would rather spend the cash locally than pay high priced shipping

The only interesting zoas I have are orange people eaters, valentines day massacre (sloooow grower), AOG, purple hornets, & the massive colonie of tubs blue and RPE's from Landen.
Only ORA I have you didnt list is Scripts (FAST!!!! grower & could cut a nice size piece), roscoes, & chips. I have a few different tenuis (blue tip n purple tip), an assortment of different Millis, torts, & stags just can't remember the names like you.

I may be interested in getting a few frags from you if your able to cut anything.
If you get the chance PM me your address so I can look it up. I should know something for sure by Wednsday if I will be making out.

yeah Cybrsufr has been using those over his tank as well and everything looks great. I wonder what happened?

Ive got 250w se 14k's plus rites on my 75 and most of the corals in my tank seem very happy and the bulbs have a nice color. The 29 gallon aquapod setup I got came with a 175 de 14k plus rite and is working great. How often do you guys replace the bulbs?

I really liked the color of the bulbs and thought they looked great but shortly after replacing the bulbs 250W SE (aquaconnect 14000K) many of the corals primarily acros started loosing there color slowly fading, after a while I swapped bulbs back but too late. I have lost about 5 or 6 milli colonies and a few other acros. I did at the same time have a slight increase in tank temp due to change in seasons, this is a possible contributor.

I am investigating other possible causes (AEFW) but the lights seem to be the most likely, all the LPS and many other SPS are doing ok some faded in color but after putting the aquaconnects back over the tank they seem to be doing bettter. Maybe the lights are too close to the surface, never had a problem like this before any suggestions are welcome.

i have acros also and use the pulsrites.kinda strange but u never know sry to hear it jorge
i would offer but just getting started back my self.hope to see you at the meet if i get to make it

I am leaning toward a breakout of AEFW will check a few things tonight. This is strange because I have not added anything to my system for a good while (since landen drained his system) but this could change everything.

All corals from Landens system are doing great minus the 1 tort colonie I just cut up. It was only STN at the base and there were no FW found or eggs in the numerous dips I tried to prevent the STN over the past month.

OHH, none of the corals I got from Landen were dipped before I put them in, just to many corals at one time to even think about trying to dip.

Double check your bulbs and make sure you don't have a crack in the MH glass. I had a problem earlier this year when I lost two colonies, it took me a couple of weeks to determine the tissue loss was due to the radiation from the cracked bulb.

Even then I didn't figure it out on my own, an email to Bob Fenner resulted in him suggesting it.
