SPS got stung by favia. Now bleaching from the base up. What to do?

Well my stupid self put the favia too close to this guy so the sweeper tentacles got the base. Its been about a week and the bleach is beginning move up towards the top of the coral. Any suggestion before its too late! The only thing I can think of is fragging the base off or let it be maybe it'll heal it self?

This happened to me once.I fragged the pieces away from the base, looking back now, I wish I hadn't.Because a fellow reefer told me about doing a superglue bandaid, I used it on the base that I fragged the pieces away from, and it worked.So try the superglue bandaid first.If it fails, I guess frag it.

Thanks I'll try the super glue band-aid. Just want to do something before the whole thing is dead.
