I was just comparing pictures of this sky blue ORA sps that I bought from another member back in July.

This was the coral when I bought it on 07-10-05

have you experience any other milli's you have turning completely green, or on new encrusting growth around the base? i think all of the millis i own have turned completely green before they turned to their true color at one point.

Yes, I have has several that turn green before changing again to a nicer color. Thats what I love about sps. You never know what color they are going to be or how long it will take to do it. This particular coral did not grow or change color for at least 2.5 months. Next thing I know it is blue and purple and is growing nicely.

Did you get that piece from Keith?

No. I did pick up a few from him, but this was not one of them. I cannot remember his name, and he no longer has a tank. I bought a few from him as he was breaking down his tank.

Does anyone have a coral similar in coloration to this one? I would love to see some shots that other people have in their tanks.

The coral is under 3-4 inches of water and the halides are 12" above the surface of the water. Altogether, the coral is 15-16" away from the lights.

Thanks for all the nice comments!

that is a beautiful piece!! i'd even like it if it stayed green w/ purplish tips.
