Hey guys and gals, I have a quick question I have a 40 gallon breeder and a couple weeks ago changed bulbs with new bulbs, I was wondering what are signs I should look for on sps if they are getting too much light

What did you change from and to? How old were the old bulbs?
Generally, polyp retraction and a lightening of the coral directly facing the lights- best seen from the top down..

the bulbs were about 2 years old I went to ati across the board, its only affected 2 corals that I can tell others seem perfectly happy

SG 1.027
ALK 8
CAL 440
MAG 1400
PH 8.2
NITRATE 0 tested cheap test kit
PHOS 0 tested cheap test kit

2 years.. So the bulbs were totally trashed.
If you can, I'd suggest raising the fixture at least 6 inches, more if you can and keep it there for a month or so and then start bringing it back to its current location over another month...
And if you're really 0 for both n and p, you might consider getting a few more fish in there.
