SPS ID please.

this was my very first SPS and it has been very slow growing for me as it was my test mule and has been thru some rough times. but i got it as a small chip and it has colored up very nice since i first got it. it seems to almost be unkillable :lol: any how i was wondering if anybody could tell me exactly what it is. i figured it was a monti of some sort but i am by no means an expect on SPS at all.

the polyps are yellow and the body is a purpleish blue color that is very vibrant in person.

Montipora of some sort. Growth pattern looks like Digitata so far but I've not seen green on purple. Maybe M. Stellata but those usually have thicker branches with more surface texture.

I agree; it looks like a Montipora species. Growth looks like that of M. Digitata, but the color throws me off as well. It's beautiful!

i kinda figured it was a monti of some sort but i had a hard time finding anything else like it out there right now. thanks for all the help in trying to ID this thing. i really hope i can keep it growing and keep it alive.

could be Montipora venosa
