no i got it from a local in san diego. he said it was soloman island false pm. it looks more blue to me. now it has colored up a little more its almost a purple shade base with blue tips and baby blue polpys i absolutly love it

i found one online at reefermadness.us it was labled a. maryae does anyone know specifics on this species. i have it at the bottom of my tank so its 28" under the halide. should i raise it?

Although deepwater acros arent the most colorful they still have some really nice colors...so IMO what made it seem like a DW acro was that its corallites are *smooth and rounded and the branches thick and stubby..

Well that is false adverticement. Maryae only found in Red Sea nowhere else & collection is prohibited.

I would have guessed A. maryae as well. They are indeed found only in the Red Sea, but I have no idea whether or not collection is prohibited.

By the by, the corals Ryan picked up when he was in Chicago are really quite nice. The next time he visits I'm going to have to give him some money to spend!
