SPS Nano Question?

I have one of those 12 nanos by JBJ, and I was thinking of putting on a K-2 Viper Metal Halide Clamp-On Lamp 70watt or 150 watt. Could I keep SPS in that nano cube or is it too small?

I keep up on my water changes and test for practically everything.

it can be done. if you are going to use the 70w light you should stay away from acros but other wise yes.

When you say it could be done, does it mean that it is really hard to do?

And what do you mean to stay away from across the light?

wow, those were so saweet, I always wanted an sps tank, and I think the small tank would be a little easier to manage.

What would you suggest on the 12g nano, 70 watt or 150 watt?

You can do it, "hard" is a relative description. If the 12g is heavily stocked with SPS, you need a small bioload (just saves you headaches and worries), and stay vigilant regarding the water parameters, in particular calcium and alkalinity.

My tank consumes around 20ppm of calcium and almost 1 meq/L of alkalinity per day (consumption rates are in proportion). So you just need to work out the demands, and dose accordingly every day.
