SPS Newb needs a Mentor, long post

I'm new to SPS and have a few questions, No one locally to help so I snag all the info I can here on RC. Got 3+ years reef, mostly LPS and a Crocea Clam.
I feed my Clam occasionally with DT's Oyster Eggs, any good for SPS?
How about Phyto, I've read somewhere that SPS eat it, I have two kinds on hand:
ESV Spray Dried Marine Phyto (given to feed my clam, used it once but I think my skimmer got most of it, just sits in the freezer).
Kent Phytoplex. I've had the Kent for about 2 1/2 years and have yet to use (just sits in the cupboard) it so I'm sure it needs to get tossed but what is the shelf life on this?
Any Kent products worthwhile?

Next, Supplements. Right now I'm adding Kent Iodine as well as Tech M, and Stronium/ Molybendium. Been adding these 5ml per week for the past 2 1/2 years. Been also dosing Kalk but over the past year I have went from about 2 tsp per week saturated solution to now 1 tsp per day 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 at night slurry method (looking into a Ca Reactor if I can find the real estate in my stand).
What else am I supposed to be adding as far as supplements go?

Help me here.
Equipment:
75 gal
Circ (thanks for every ones help here!) 2 Seio 1100's opposing each other from tank ends, controller is on the wish list
6" Sugar fine DSB, thinking going BB cant stop the sand storm, slowed it from a whiteout to drifts and dunes but it's still moving.
20 sump/ fuge 15 gal reserved for Cheato, powered by Maxi Jet 1200, getting about 100 gph return, most efficient method so far
Aqua C EV 120 powered by a Mag 7
Lighting is 440w 6500k VHO 220w Actinic
Lighting I'm somewhat worried about as the new corals I added came from 400w 20k and have lightened considerably. My existing corals have done the same but were under 2@150 10k halides so some color loss was expected. Been running this 6500k scheme for the past 9 months with excellent growth, just a little yellow in color (I don't mind, I have some little frags that need to get big!) good for SPS growth as well?

Parameters:
Salinity 1.025
ph 8.2-8.4
Amm-0
Trites-0
Trates-0
P04-0
Ca 420
Alk 3.5 meq/l
temp 78 lights out, 80 lights on
Test for anything else?

SPS currently:
Orange Monti Caps
Purple Monti Digi
Blue Monti Digi
Orange Monti Digi
Blue tipped Acro
Pavona sp

I've had great success with LPS and BTA's with this system (with acception of the VHO lighting scheme that is about a month new), will I continue to have it with SPS? One slight note on the lighting, I've had the Pavona for about a year that browned out shortly after I got it, got my new lighting, it went back to back Lime Green in about a week.
Any corrections I need to make or advice?

Thanks

Sounds good, parameters are just fine, but you may want to take out a couple of inches of sand, 4" bed is still sufficient ( biological)to decrease the sand drifts/ storms , and look to change the lighting to 2x250 MH 10k supplemented by the VHO actinic on an 8 hour photoperiod. hour 1-2 VHO only , hour 2-7 VHO/MH, hour 7-8 VHO only. IMO no need to use the phyto to feed clams or SPS . High lighting allows photosynthesis to produce food needs. Supplements, you can use1 tsp per gallon of RO/DI to top off water levels during lights out period and add Bionic two parts inbetween the top offs. It contains your listed trace elements. For iodine I use Lugols, a couple of drops mid week between the water changes. I use Reef crystals salt and conduct 10% weekly changes. I hope it helps.

IMO VHOs are fine for sps. Most of the time growth is more rapid with higher lighting but they will survive and grow fairly well under VHOs. My ORA blue tort has grown 3 inches in 2 months under VHOs. Only thing I dose in my tank is a buffer solution right now because my alk is a little low, 7 dkh. Other than that I dont dose anything. I agree with Mile about the no need for the phyto. I would go with rotifers, cyclopeeze and oyster egg for feeding of the SPS. Hope this helps some. IMO the 3 most important factors for sps are Water Stability, Flow then Lighting in that order. With Flow and lighting being very close together in terms of importance
