SPS problem after feeding fish

This just started about two weeks now . After feeding the fish the SPS corals start to slime a little. I had no problem with them before .
All the water test i did came out very good .
Any of you have this problem? if it is a problem. I have great polyp extension and everything goes back to normal in a hour or two.
Don't make any difference the type of food i use.

Heh =)

From Eric Bourneman's book " Aquarium Corals"

"...Mucosal capture occurs in several ways as well. Many corals form mucus webs and nets to trap particulate matter and free floating bacteria.."

When the corals "smell" that yummy fish food floating through the water, they want some too.

Hopefully this helps, and I read that right =D

Hi Steve,
Corals can learn to identify a food source over time and quickly react towards it. They also can identify their neighbors in a tank after they are in the tank for some time. After having the same corals in the tank for a few years I added a new one and a dozen or so corals suddenly put out sweepers. I also have several Acropora corals that slime up for 10-15 min after water changes.

Here is a picture of an A. grandis attacking some algae on the glass that it perceived as a threat.

Regards,
Kevin

I'm going to take some pictures tonight after feeding the fish.
I just think they look like stress slime to me it is not sweepers.
I post soon as I get the pick.

My corals seem to know the approx. time that I feed every night and they will slime up 10-15 minutes before I put the food in. Its pretty cool how smart these little buggers are.

Heres what they look like when its food time( frag tank)

Zoom,

From what I remember, you just changed your skimmer to a much bigger one. Could it be that now your acros are responding since they have some better overall conditions ?

That maybe Fatboy maybe the tank is much cleaner now and the corals responding to the food addition by sliming.
